Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital, part of Trinity Health, seeks an experienced RN to join the Cath Lab team in Hartford, CT. The role supports invasive procedures with patient assessment, sedation, and vigilant monitoring in a three-lab environment.

Qualifications include an accredited nursing education and CT RN licensure; BSN preferred with 1–2 years acute care or cardiac telemetry experience. Per diem shifts and on-call weekends/holidays are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients undergoing invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Monitor hemodynamics and assess patients pre/post procedure.
• Prepare patients for procedures and administer conscious sedation as required.
• Support a collaborative team to ensure patient safety and comfort.

Position Purpose

Cath Lab functions independently as a member of our team of Nurses, Cardiovascular Technologists, and Interventional Cardiologists. Within our three procedure labs, the RN provides care to patients undergoing elective and emergent invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures. This role performs a variety of tasks to ensure patient safety and comfort including patient assessment and hemodynamic monitoring, pre procedure preparation and administration of conscious sedation.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensure: Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse RN in Connecticut.

Preferred Skills:

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing BSN degree preferred.
• Experience: 1-2 years of Acute care, ICU or Cardiac Telemetry experience preferred.

Work Schedule:

• Per Diem shifts, 10-hour days
• This position requires On-Call - weekends/holiday rotation
