Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, VA is seeking an RN to provide comprehensive nursing care across cardiac catheterization, interventional radiology and neuro radiology procedures with emphasis on assessment, planning and evaluation of the care plan.

Responsibilities include documentation per RHS standards, collaboration with the care team, and ensuring safe patient transitions. Licensing as an RN in Virginia, CPR/BLS and ACLS within 1.5 years are required or preferred as noted.

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN preferred; program graduate in nursing may be preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required only if nursing diploma graduate.
• Critical care experience preferred.
• Virginia RN license upon hire.
• BLS certification upon hire; ACLS within 1.5 years.

Responsible for necessary quality control performance and documentation that supports best practice standards and accreditation initiatives. The RN utilizes communication, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making to create a care plan for each patient based on age, physiological, psychosocial and cultural diversity.What you will doDemonstrates ability to assess patient clinical ands psychosocial needs by applying standards of practice as it relates to the specialty or patient population served. ( I.E. surgical, med surg, critical care, ED, specialty unit).Partners with patients and families to develop, implement and evaluate plan of care, treatments and procedures that contribute to the physiological and psychosocial outcomes of the patient. Assesses and incorporates evidence-based standards of practice. Collaborates with interdisciplinary team in the coordination care.
