Job summary

Advocate Health in Park Ridge, IL is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cath Lab to join a four-lab cardiovascular team. This full-time role offers 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with after-hours, holiday, and weekend on-call duties up to an average of 5–6 shifts per month.

You will provide direct nursing care and coordinate patient care for complex catheterization procedures in a high-acuity setting while supporting teamwork and a patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

  • Must have an accredited nursing program.
  • Illinois RN license required.
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA) and ACLS required.
  • Minimum 2 years of critical care, Cath Lab, EP and/or IR nursing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process.
  • Maintain a safe environment and deliver high-quality care during procedures.

$38.20 - $57.30

Where You Will Work
  • The unit has four Cath Labs where physicians perform minimally invasive tests and procedures to diagnose and treat cardiovascular disease (complex catheterizations, electrophysiology and structural heart procedures)
  • As a nurse in this department, you will assist the cardiovascular team during intra phase
  • The Cath Lab provides a collaborative/supportive team approach; embraces teaching/learning with a supportive and engaged leadership team
We’re Looking For
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state of Illinois
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association and ACLS
  • Must possess at minimum 2 years critical care, Cath Lab, EP and/or IR nursing experience

  • As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
