Job summary

Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cath Lab. Full-time, 10-hour days, 40 hours per week, with call requirements and potential travel to other Advocate sites for orientation.

You will join a three Cath Lab unit delivering minimally invasive tests and procedures. Candidates should have an Illinois RN license, BLS and ACLS, and at least 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in Critical Care or Cath Lab.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state of Illinois.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification (American Heart Association) and ACLS.
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in Critical Care or Cath Lab.
  • Ability to take call and arrive at hospital within 30 minutes.

  • Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to ensure safe, therapeutic care.
  • Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience across the continuum.

Registered Nurse (RN) – Cath Lab

Chicago, IL (Lakeview Neighborhood)

Full time; 4-10 hour shifts

Call required; must be able to meet 30 minute arrival time to hospital

May be required to travel to other Advocate sites for orientation purposes

Where You Will Work

The unit has three Cath Labs where physicians perform minimally invasive tests and procedures to diagnose and treat cardiovascular disease. As a nurse in this department you will assist the cardiovascular team throughout the procedure from prep through recovery.

We’re Looking For
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state of Illinois
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association and ACLS
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience preferably in Critical Care or Cath Lab

  • As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
