Job summary

Valley View Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cath Lab on a Full-Time, Day shift. Schedule: 3x12, 6:30a-7p, with rotating weekends, at a community hospital dedicated to high-quality cardiac care.

Applicants should hold a current RN license and meet education requirements; six months of acute Medical/Surgical experience is preferred. BCLS and ACLS/BCLS certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum six months of Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• BCLS and ACLS/BCLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Performs all aspects of patient care in a Cath Lab setting.
• Develops and revises care plans with an emphasis on patient safety.
• Coordinates with care team for transfers, discharges, and referrals.
• Educates patient and family according to age, condition, and circumstances.

How you'll contributeA

Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors.

Ability to formulate an individualized plan of care, revise plan as indicated by the patient's response to treatment, and evaluation overall plan daily for effectiveness.

Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, provider, patient and family following chain of command as appropriate.

Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient protecting patient's rights.
