Job summary

Lifepoint Health® is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cath Lab at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, NC. The role involves performing patient assessments, ensuring appropriate nursing interventions, and maintaining accurate medical documentation.

Qualifications

  • Current state RN license is required.
  • ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
  • 1-3 years of recent critical care or Cath Lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient assessments and identify needs.
  • Initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
  • Document medical necessity in the medical record.
  • Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan.

Fulltime: Days

Schedule

12 hour shifts

Call required

Every 5th weekend required ( revolving 5 week track schedule)

How You Will Contribute
  • Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
  • Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
  • Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
  • Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
  • Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
  • Performs timely and accurate QI assessments

What We Are Looking For

Applicants should have a current state RN license.

Additional Requirements Include
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
  • One year of experience preferred
  • 1-3 years preferred with recent critical care or Cath Lab experience
