Overview

Sentara Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Cardiac Cath Lab at Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton, VA. This full‑time day shift opportunity offers a collaborative environment, professional growth, and the chance to care for patients during life‑saving cardiovascular and interventional procedures.

Earn up to $15,000 sign‑on bonus. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are included.

Hours

• Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
• Approximately 15 days of on‑call coverage per month (including every 3rd or 4th weekend)
• 30‑minute on‑call response time required

Responsibilities

The RN is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the nursing process and the standards of practice, including assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation and coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, and evaluation. The RN must meet standards of professional performance such as ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence‑based practice, quality improvement, resource utilization, and environmental health. Clinical knowledge and skills are required to meet standards in specific clinical areas.

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) or RN Diploma (Required)
• BSN or MSN (Preferred)

Certification & Licensure

• Active RN license (Required)
• BLS within 90 days of hire
• ACLS within 1 year of hire

Experience

• Previous acute care (ICU, ED, etc.) or cath lab experience (Preferred)
• Experience circulating and monitoring invasive cardiac procedures, endovascular procedures, and interventional radiology procedures (Preferred)
