Job summary

Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA is seeking a Supervisor for the Catheterization and Vascular Lab RN. This full-time day shift role oversees daily Cath Lab operations, supervises staff, and supports budgeting and procurement.

Requires BSN and active RN license; ACLS; RCIS preferred; 3+ years cath/vascular leadership experience. The role includes on-call duties and a 5-day, 8-hour schedule with start times around 8am.

Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center is hiring a Supervisor, Catheterization and Vascular Lab Registered Nurse (RN) for a Full Time, Day shift in Woodbridge, VA!

Hours: Five 8-hour days. Start Time primarily 8am, but variable to 7am due to business needs.

Call Schedule: On call is on as needed basis for back up and emergency as supervisor of department. Must be with 30 minutes of facility for any required call.

The Supervisor, Catheterization and Vascular Lab - Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for the daily operations of one or more clinical areas. Supervises procedural area RN's and staff including coordinating quality and customer service activities; assisting in the development and monitoring of the departmental budget; coordinating the purchasing and payroll processes; serving as a technical/clinical resource to team members; and performing work assignments as needed to provide appropriate coverage and to mentor/assist staff. Serve as chief retention officer for areas of responsibility.

Department Overview The Cath Lab at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center is a 50-person team of monitor techs, cardiovascular invasive techs, registered nurses and patient care staff for additional support. The team sees a mix of inpatient and outpatient and an average of 10 procedures per day. Heart and Vascular has 3 labs for EP, Cardiac and IR at SNVMC.

Education

Certification/Licensure

• Registered Nurse License Required
• Specialty Nursing Certification Preferred
• RCIS preferred
• ACLS required

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in cath/vascular/procedural areas
• Leadership or supervisory experience for at least 2 years preferred
• Background in IR/Cath and Angio preferred
• Procedural experience preferred
