Description

Are you a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with a passion for cardiovascular health? Join our expert Cardiology team and play a vital role in providing compassionate, high-quality care to patients managing heart and vascular conditions. As an RN in our busy outpatient practice, you’ll deliver direct patient care, including triaging patient calls, administering medications and injections, assisting with stress tests and cardiac procedures, and providing education on lifestyle changes, medication management, and disease prevention.

You’ll collaborate closely with our cardiologists and the care team to coordinate testing, follow-up care, and treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs. Your critical thinking skills, clinical expertise, and compassionate approach will help patients feel supported and informed throughout their heart health journey. We’re looking for a team-oriented RN who is reliable, proactive, and committed to delivering exceptional patient experiences in a fast-paced, specialized environment.

What You Will Do
  • Contribute to overall quality of nursing care through performance improvement techniques that positively impact patient care.
  • Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with colleagues, patients, and family members.
  • Educate patients and family members to ensure a transparent understanding of the care being provided.
  • Understand and utilize computer-based applications (E-MAR, clinical documentation), email, and standard applications such as Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrate problem solving, conflict resolution, and positive communication through teamwork.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited R.N. program.
  • Licensure: Current Connecticut R.N. license required; CPR certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification preferred.
  • Experience: Competent in a Windows-based computer system, familiar with Microsoft Office Suite. Strong multitasking, problem solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to organize, analyze, and interpret clinical data. High dependability and accuracy are essential.
  • Flexibility to meet the coverage needs of the department.
