The Staff Pad is recruiting Registered Nurses for a high-acuity Cardiac Telemetry Unit in Wausau, Wisconsin, partnering with a leading regional health system. This role focuses on continuous cardiac monitoring for complex cardiac, vascular, and pulmonary patients in a collaborative step-down environment.

We value teamwork and patient-centered care; the nurse will engage in evidence-based practice, participate in ACLS within six months, and grow professionally in a supportive cardiovascular

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Active Wisconsin and/or Michigan RN license.
• Current BLS (CPR) certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS required within six months of hire.
• Strong commitment to teamwork, learning, and exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring in a 44-bed Cardiac Telemetry step-down unit.
• Assess, monitor, and respond to changes in patient condition, utilizing critical thinking and clinical judgment.
• Care for patients recovering from heart, vascular, and lung procedures and surgeries.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with evidence-based practice and physician orders.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation while ensuring compliance with hospital policies and quality standards.
• Promote patient safety, quality outcomes, and compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a leading regional healthcare system to recruit Registered Nurses for a high-acuity Cardiac Telemetry Unit in Wausau, Wisconsin.

This opportunity is ideal for nurses looking to strengthen their critical care experience while caring for complex cardiac, vascular, and pulmonary patients in a collaborative step-down environment.

Schedule: Full-Time | 0.9 FTE (72 Hours per Pay Period)

• 12-hour shifts | Every 3rd weekend | Two holidays per year
  
• 3:00 AM – 3:00 PM | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  

What We Are Looking For

Experience & Qualifications

• Acute coronary syndrome, Myocardial infarction & Cardiac arrhythmias
  
• Congestive heart failure, Cardiomyopathy & Pulmonary embolism
  
• Pulmonary hypertension, Pneumothorax, Emphysema & Hypertensive urgency
  
• Peripheral vascular disease & valvular heart disease
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with evidence-based practice and physician orders
  
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge planning
  
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation while ensuring compliance with hospital policies and quality standards
