Job summary

Tanner Health in Carrollton, GA is seeking a Registered Nurse for our CVICU to provide and lead nursing care for post-operative cardiac patients. The role includes supervising other RNs and assistive personnel, assessing patient needs, planning and implementing care, and evaluating outcomes in a high-acuity environment.

Eligible candidates must hold a Georgia RN license or Multistate license, CPR, ACLS and PALS certifications with timeframes; NRP and SCIPP requirements apply, and Willowbrooke

Qualifications

• Georgia Registered Nurse license or multistate license required.
• CPR/Healthcare Provider certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire into ED/ICU/Surgery/PACU/LLD/Cath Lab.
• NRP within 12 months of hire into Nursery and L&D.
• PALS within 12 months of hire in PACU.
• SCIPP required within 90 days of hire into Willowbrooke.
• Medical-ICU experience (6 months minimum, 1 year preferred).

Job description

The Registered Nurse performs nursing functions and supervises other RNs, and other assistive personnel in the performance of nursing care according to the state nurse practice act. The Registered Nurse assesses patient needs, plans and implements patient care, and evaluates the effectiveness of care provided.

The CVICU is a 6-bed critical care unit that provides exceptional care for patients recovering from Open Heart Surgery (CABG, Valve replacement) and a multitude of thoracic surgeries.

Medical-ICU experience is required for this role (6 month minimum, 1 year preferred).
