RN Cardiac Full Time Nights Position Summary
Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Responsibilities
Assessment
An RN uses a systematic, dynamic way to collect and analyze data about a patient, including physiological, psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors.
Initial assessment, re-assessment, and focused assessment based on patient condition, setting, and population.
Problem Identification
Clinical judgment about the patient's response to health conditions or needs.
Planning and Outcomes
Set measurable, achievable goals in collaboration with the patient and family; document in the care plan.
Establishing daily goals, formulating care plans, and transition/discharge planning.
Implementation
Carry out care according to the plan; ensure continuity and document care provided.
Ensure patient safety, medication administration, treatments, education, and documentation.
Evaluation
Continuously evaluate patient status and care effectiveness; modify care plan as needed.
Actions include delegation, supervision, and prioritization.
