Seton Medical Center Harker Heights in Texas is seeking a day shift, full-time Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. The role focuses on planning and delivering direct patient care in a fast-paced cardiovascular setting.

You will collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team, maintain nursing care plans, and ensure patient safety while meeting licensure requirements and training timelines.

Qualifications

• Must hold Texas RN licensure.
• Multi-state license recognition through compact may be required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience; critical care preferred.
• Within 4 years of hire, complete BSN per Seton policy.
• BLS certification to be obtained within 14 days of hire.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of start.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver direct and indirect patient care; develop nursing care plans.
• Coordinate with patient, family and interdisciplinary team; communicate changes to physicians and supervisors.

Responsibilities

The nurse is responsible for the planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care, developing nursing care plan in coordination with patient, family , and interdisciplinary staff as necessary and communicating changes in patient’s clinical condition with Physicians, Nursing Supervisor/Manager, and co-workers as appropriate.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Completion of education to obtain Texas Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Registered Nurse (RN) with Texas Board of Nursing – OR – current home state license is required for multi-state license recognition through the Nurse Licensure Compact.
• Must have a minimum of one (1) year experience required; critical care experience preferred
• Required to complete the education necessary to obtain my BSN degree within four (4) years of my date of hire with Seton Medical Center Harker Heights
• BLS certification must be obtained with 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• ACLS Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support through American Heart Association within 6 months

Preferred Job Requirements:

• three (3) years of experience preferred
• Previous employment in a cardiovascular setting preferred.
