Job summary

Lifepoint Health® is seeking a Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at North Alabama Medical Center. The role includes 3x12 shifts on weekends and offers a sign-on bonus of $10,000 for well qualified applicants.

As an RN, you'll be responsible for supporting patient care, performing various clinical tasks, and ensuring comprehensive care coordination. We value diverse backgrounds and welcome both experienced nurses and new graduates.

Qualifications

• Current Alabama or compact state RN license required.

About Our Team

North Alabama Medical Center is a leader in advanced cardiology care in Florence. The multi-disciplinary cardiology team offers an integrated approach to heart care from prevention and diagnostic care to surgical treatments and rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family as appropriate.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patients and/or families and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred; must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
