Responsibilities

• Assess patients and plan care within designated timeframes, documenting findings per policies.
• Supervise shift activities, delegate tasks, and ensure nursing policies and procedures are followed. Demonstrate leadership and oversee staff to maintain high standards of patient care.
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond appropriately, including notifying physicians when necessary.
• Administer medications following hospital policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program or hold relevant state licensure.
• Experience in psychiatric healthcare, chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, or geriatric care preferred. Skills in assessments, treatment planning, and communication with external review organizations are desirable.
• Valid, unencumbered license to practice nursing in the state.
• CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment and before patient contact. Must be at least 21 years old.
