Job summary

Spring View Hospital in Lebanon, KY is seeking a Behavioral Health RN to provide direct patient care using the nursing process for behavioral health patients. The role emphasizes collaboration with the interprofessional team to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and accurate documentation of care.

You will monitor patient conditions, support families, assist with daily activities, and coordinate across disciplines. On-call shifts and unit flexibility may be required.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• BCLS required.
• Handle with Care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process for behavioral health patients.
• Collaborate with the interprofessional team to ensure a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Reports to the Director or Manager of Department.
• Perform plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Documents patient care promptly and accurately.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
• Coordinates care across disciplines (transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs).
• Assesses learning needs and delivers age-/culture-appropriate patient and family education.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Participates in unit and organizational performance improvement and required continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works other shifts/units as needed; may be assigned on-call.

• Collaborates with the interprofessional team to support a safe, therapeutic environment and high-quality outcomes.
• Reports to the Director or Manager of Department.
• Performs plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Documents patient care provided in a timely and accurate manner.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs).
