Job summary

Atrium Health Behavioral Health Charlotte is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to contribute to inpatient psychiatric care on Unit 1 South. You will coordinate nursing care, apply evidence-based practices, and support a safe, therapeutic environment around the clock.

In this role you will use de-escalation techniques, collaborate with the care team, and follow established policies to enhance patient safety and experience in a busy behavioral health unit.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state where practice occurs.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Behavioral health experience, de-escalation skills preferred.

Where You Will Work

Behavioral Health - Charlotte, Unit 1 South is an 18-bed inpatient adult unit providing acute behavioral health services.

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Behavioral Health Experience, skilled at de-escalation; medical experience preferred

What You'll Do

As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.

Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

About This Location

Atrium Health Behavioral Health Charlotte, a facility of Carolinas Medical Center, is the only dedicated psychiatric emergency department in the region, and provides treatment across a broad continuum of inpatient and outpatient services.
