Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Behavioral Health Inpatient Unit in Wilmington, NC. You will provide patient-centered care to adults in crisis and work with an interdisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care.

The role emphasizes thorough assessments, individualized care plans, safe medication administration, and crisis intervention within a supportive environment. A valid RN license and 1 year of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with active RN licensure.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state required.
• One year of relevant nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to adults experiencing behavioral health crises.
• Complete comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
• Administer medications and monitor patient progress.
• Utilize therapeutic communication and crisis intervention techniques.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and the interdisciplinary care team to promote positive patient outcomes.

Facility: Behavioral Health| Location: Wilmington, NC, Full-Time | Work Schedule: 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Education: 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree, preferred, Associatedegree
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
• Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
• Experience: One-year relevant experience
