Job summary

Atrium Health Behavioral Health Charlotte, Unit 1 South, is seeking a skilled RN to provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care.

You will work in an 18-bed inpatient adult unit, applying evidence‑based practice, clinical decision making, and strong communication to ensure a safe environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Qualifications

• RN licensed in the state of North Carolina.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association).
• Behavioral health experience preferred.
• Psychiatric‑mental health certification preferred.

Where You Will Work

Behavioral Health – Charlotte, Unit 1 South is an 18‑bed inpatient adult unit providing acute behavioral health services.

We're Looking For

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in Nursing
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Minimum one (1) year of RN experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Behavioral Health experience with strong de‑escalation skills preferred
• Psychiatric‑mental health or (professional nursing) certification preferred

What You’ll Do

As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.

Using evidence‑based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Atrium Health Behavioral Health Charlotte, a facility of Carolinas Medical Center, is the only dedicated psychiatric emergency department in the region and provides treatment across a broad continuum of inpatient and outpatient services.
