Job summary

Tenet South Carolina is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in Behavioral Health for Rock Hill, South Carolina. This ongoing, full-time role requires 36 hours per week with a 12-hour shift schedule based at our facility.

You will complete initial nursing assessments, document care, administer medications, monitor patient responses, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality behavioral health care.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Nursing required.
• Active multi-state RN license or ability to obtain multi-state license.
• American Heart Association BLS CPR required within 7 days of hire.
• CPI certification within orientation.

Responsibilities

• Completes and documents initial nursing assessment within specified time frame.
• Assesses patient as ongoing process with input from physician and psychosocial team.
• Performs patient interventions with age-appropriate nursing care.
• Verifies orders, reconciles medications, schedules tests and maintains consent forms.
• Administers medications and IV therapy with monitoring for adverse reactions.
• Performs related duties as required.

Provide, promote and maintain quality patient care during diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures through education, standards of practice, professional growth, and collaboration with other multidisciplinary health care providers.

• Completes and documents initial nursing assessment within specified time frame
• Assesses patient as ongoing process utilizing physician and psychosocial input and documents in the chart
• Performs patient interventions completely and proficiently and demonstrates age specific competency for population of patients served
• Verifies, during hospitalization, orders for accuracy (including reconciliation of medications), appropriate scheduling of tests and/or procedures, pre-op data, and consent forms
• Follows medication and IV Therapy policies including patient identification, understanding about medications, administering meds and recognizing/reporting interactions 100% of the time. Appropriately monitors first dose medication(s) for adverse reactions
• Performs related duties as required.

Required

• Education: Associates degree in Nursing required.
• Experience: Each candidate's previous clinical experience is reviewed to determine acceptable experience
• Certification/Licenses:
  • A valid Permanent Multi-State RN License from the state in which you reside is required.
  • Should you hold a RN license from another Compact state, you are required to apply for and obtain a Multi‑State RN License from the state in which you reside within 30 days.
  • American Heart Association BLS CPR required, must be obtained within 7 days of hire.
  • CPI certification within orientation.

Preferred

• Experience: Psychiatric/mental health nursing experience preferred.
• RN-C preferred.
