Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse to protect, promote and restore health across the care continuum. You will collaborate with providers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination in a 24/7 hospital setting.

Requires Illinois or Michigan RN licensure and BLS certification. A BSN is preferred, with EMR and MS Office proficiency to support daily patient care and documentation.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing in Illinois or Michigan.
• American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS certification required prior to start date.
• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Protects, promotes, and restores health by practicing at the highest level of RN licensure.
• Collaborates with Providers and care teams to coordinate across the continuum.
• Assesses symptoms and provides psychological support to patients and families; mentors team members and upholds best practices.
• Scheduled to work 11 out of 12 weekends; operates in 24/7 inpatient/ED hospital units.

Pay range for this position is $34.25 - $51.13/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is an Hourly position.

This position includes a weekend premium of 40%.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

Protects, promotes, and restores health and wellness by practicing at the highest level of the Registered Nurse licensure, collaborating with Providers and multidisciplinary care team members to provide care coordination across the continuum. Assesses and supports physical symptoms, provides psychological support to patients, friends, and families, mentors assigned team members, promotes best practices and maintains professional disposition at all times. Will be scheduled and required to work 11 out of every 12 weekends. The RN Hospital Inpatient/ED operates in units that provide 24/7 care in the hospital.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• License/Certifications: Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing in appropriate state (Illinois or Michigan)


• Current American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS is required prior to start date of employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: BSN


• Experience: Experience as an RN in a healthcare environment


• Other skills/knowledge: Electronic Medical Record and Microsoft application basic proficiency
