Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking an RN for inpatient/ED roles to protect, promote, and restore health across the care continuum. You will collaborate with Providers and a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and support patients and families.

The position requires RN licensure in IL or MI and current BLS. BSN is preferred; weekend work is required as part of a 12-week cycle.

Qualifications

• License/Certifications: Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing in Illinois or Michigan.
• Current American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS is required prior to start date.
• Education: BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides care coordination across the continuum in collaboration with Providers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Assesses physical symptoms and provides psychological support to patients, families, and friends.
• Mentors assigned team members and promotes best practices while maintaining professional disposition.
• Will be scheduled to work weekends (11 out of 12 weekends).

Pay range for this position is $34.25 - $51.13/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is an Hourly position.

STACKABLE PAY INCENTIVES:

• Night Shift:+$4.00/hour
• Weekend Premium:+40% premium of base rate for all hours worked within weekend program hours.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

Protects, promotes, and restores health and wellness by practicing at the highest level of the Registered Nurse licensure, collaborating with Providers and multidisciplinary care team members to provide care coordination across the continuum. Assesses and supports physical symptoms, provides psychological support to patients, friends, and families, mentors assigned team members, promotes best practices and maintains professional disposition at all times. Will be scheduled and required to work 11 out of every 12 weekends. The RN Hospital Inpatient/ED operates in units that provide 24/7 care in the hospital.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• License/Certifications: Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing in appropriate state (Illinois or Michigan)
• Current American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS is required prior to start date of employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: BSN
• Experience: Experience as an RN in a healthcare environment
• Other skills/knowledge: Electronic Medical Record and Microsoft application basic proficiency
