Job summary

Millwood Hospital, a UHS facility in Arlington, TX, seeks a Staff Nurse (R.N.) to coordinate and evaluate patient care with a multidisciplinary team in accordance with nursing standards.

Education includes a nursing degree with Texas licensure; CPR and CPI/Service Excellence training are required. Expect orientation and rotating day shifts, including weekends, at 6:45 am–7:15 pm.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of three (2) years’ experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.
• Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Texas State Board of Nursing.
• Additional Requirements: CPR certification and CPI training; Service Excellence Training before working with patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care coordination, assessment, and planning in collaboration with the health team.
• Attend full hospital and departmental orientations during Weeks 1–2.
• Deliver patient care during day shifts with 12-hour rotations and weekends on rotation.

Millwood Hospital (a UHS Facility) is a 134-bed mental health facility that provides inpatient and outpatient mental health and chemical dependency treatment. Millwood’s caring, and multidisciplinary staff has successfully provided inpatient and outpatient mental health and chemical dependency care to children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults since 1971. Millwood Hospital is located in Arlington, TX in the heart of the city. It is 5 minutes away from AT&T Stadium home of the Dallas Cowboys. The hospital is less than 35 minutes from DFW International Airport. The Staff Nurse (R.N.) is a registered professional nurse who prescribes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices.

Must be available to attend the Full hospital and departmental orientations: Week 1: Monday -Friday (8 AM - 5 PM); Week 2: Monday – Wednesday (8:30 AM - 4:30 PM)

6:45 am - 7:15 pm
