Job summary

Millwood Hospital (a UHS Facility) seeks a Staff Nurse (RN) for night shifts in Arlington, TX. You will coordinate and evaluate patient care within a multidisciplinary team, following nursing processes and standards.

Texas RN licensure is required; CPR certification is necessary, CPI training may be provided. The role includes weekend shifts and 12-hour nights, with a sign-on bonus and benefits package described in the ad.

Millwood’s caring, and multidisciplinary staff has successfully provided inpatient and outpatient mental health and chemical dependency care to children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults since 1971. Millwood Hospital is located in Arlington, TX in the heart of the city. It is 5 minutes away from AT&T Stadium home of the Dallas Cowboys. The hospital is less than 35 minutes from DFW International Airport. The Staff Nurse (R.N.) is a registered professional nurse who prescribes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices.

Must be available to attend the Full hospital and departmental orientations: Week 1: Monday -Friday (8 AM - 5 PM); Week 2: Monday – Wednesday (8:30 AM - 4:30 PM)

Typical Work Hours:

Night Shift

Rotating Weeks - 12 hour shifts

6:45 pm - 7:15 am

Weekends Required (days vary)

Qualifications

Requirements

Education

Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Experience

A minimum of three (2) years’ experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.

Licensure

Currently licensed to practice by the Texas State Board of Nursing.

Additional Requirements

CPR certification and training in appropriate use of Seclusion and Restraint before working with patients. Successful completion of CPI training and Service Excellence Training before working with patients. Certifications may be obtained during new hire orientation.
