Registered Nurse (RN) - Acute Care (MedSurg)

Join our team as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Acute Care (MedSurg) at Kennestone Hospital. This full-time night shift position (7pm-7am) involves working within an interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality, safe, and individualized patient care. The role is supported by the Wellstar Shared Governance Model and guided by evidence-based practices and the Wellstar Professional Practice Model.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation based on evidence-based practice.
• Providing relationship-based, patient-centered care that respects cultural diversity.
• Partnering with patients and families, utilizing effective communication methods.
• Ensuring documentation of care and collaborating with the healthcare team to promote safety and quality outcomes.
• Participating in performance improvement, professional development, and research activities.
• Supporting resource management and protocol development.

Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's Nursing degree (Bachelor's preferred).
• Current RN license in Georgia or multi-state license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; instructor certification preferred.
• Less than 1 year of clinical experience required; prior direct patient care experience is preferred.
