Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center in Williamsburg, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Acute Cardiac/Stroke Unit (3 South). This full-time night position runs 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM with rotating weekends and includes a sign-on bonus up to $20,000 for qualified candidates.

The unit cares for patients with a range of cardiac conditions, including heart failure and post-procedure care. BSN preferred; BLS and ACLS required within specified timeframes.

Overview: Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center Williamsburg, Virginia Registered Nurse Acute Cardiac/Stroke Unit. Full Time Night Shift Hours: 645P to 715A with rotating weekend schedule. Sign on Bonus up to $20,000 available for qualified candidates!

The Acute Cardiac/Stroke Unit (3 South) at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center provides specialized care for patients with a wide range of cardiac conditions, including heart failure, cardiac rhythm disturbances, newly implanted permanent pacemakers and defibrillators, post‑coronary interventions, post‑ablation care, and myocardial infarctions. The unit also manages pre‑ and post‑catheterization patients, as well as those experiencing acute stroke.

The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.

Education Degree or Diploma from an accredited Registered Nursing Program BSN or MSN preferred.

Certification/Licensure BLS within 90 days of hire. Critical Care/IMCU ACLS within 1 year of hire NIH within 1 year of hire
