Job summary

Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center in Williamsburg, Virginia, seeks a Registered Nurse for the Acute Cardiac/Stroke Unit (3 South). This full-time, day-shift role features a rotating weekend schedule and a sign-on bonus up to $15,000 for qualified candidates.

The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and support patient education and health promotion.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma from an accredited Registered Nursing Program.
• BSN or MSN preferred.
• BLS within 90 days of hire; Critical Care/IMCU ACLS within 1 year of hire.
• Experience in acute care and stroke/telemetry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Deliver bedside care and coordinate with multidisciplinary team for optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and health promotion.
• Maintain standards of nursing practice and participate in professional development.

Skills

Acute care nursing experience

Stroke/Telemetry experience

Education
