Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center in Williamsburg, VA, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 3 South Acute Cardiac/Stroke Unit on the Night shift. This full-time role offers a sign-on bonus up to $20,000 for qualified candidates and hours from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM with rotating weekends.

The Acute Cardiac/Stroke Unit cares for high-acuity cardiac and stroke patients within a Magnet-designated organization.

Qualifications

• Education: BSN or MSN preferred; RN license required.
• Certifications: BLS within 90 days; ACLS and NIHSS within 1 year.
• Experience: acute care, stroke or telemetry background preferred; new grads welcome.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing care using the nursing process and critical thinking.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to provide cardio/telemetry care.
• Support patient education, safety, and quality of care delivery.

Registered Nurse for 3 South- Acute Cardiac/Stroke Unit Full Time NIGHT shift Sign on Bonus up to $20,000 available for qualified candidates! Hours: 645 PM to 715 AM with rotating weekend schedule.

The Acute Cardiac/Stroke Unit (3 South) at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center provides specialized care for patients with a wide range of cardiac conditions, including heart failure, cardiac rhythm disturbances, newly implanted permanent pacemakers and defibrillators, post‑coronary interventions, post‑ablation care, and myocardial infarctions. The unit also manages pre‑ and post‑catheterization patients, as well as those experiencing acute stroke. This 24‑bed unit cares for patients with higher acuity than a typical medical‑surgical unit. 3 South provides an exciting opportunity for nurses seeking growth in a dynamic, high‑acuity environment. The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process.

The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing.

The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.

Education Degree or Diploma from an accredited Registered Nursing Program BSN or MSN preferred. Students in process of completing an accredited nursing program.

Certification/Licensure Students in the process of obtaining a Registered Nursing License BLS within 90 days of hire. Critical Care/IMCU ACLS within 1 year of hire NIHSS within 1 year of hire
