Job summary

Temecula Valley Hospital (TVH), part of Southwest Healthcare, seeks a Registered Nurse for the ACU Cardiac Cath Lab to deliver patient-centered care in a high-acuity setting.

Responsibilities include timely assessments, discharge planning, and coordinating care with Cardiac Services leadership. California RN licensure and BLS/ACLS are required; two years in OR/telemetry/ICU preferred; BSN is a plus.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years' experience in an operating room, telemetry unit, or critical care unit in an acute care facility.
• Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing Program.
• Current California RN license; BSN preferred and BLS/ACLS certification maintained.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Director of Cardiac Services or designated supervisors and charge nurses.
• Perform initial assessment before scheduled procedure, considering clinical presentation and patient age and cultural needs.
• Initiate discharge planning upon admission as appropriate.
• Identify need for further assessment based on presentation and tolerance of testing.

Registered Nurse - ACU Cardiac Cath Lab

Reporting to the Director of Cardiac Services or designated supervisors and charge nurses. Performs initial assessment appropriate to the patient's scheduled procedure, clinical presentation/diagnosis, care setting, age development level, cultural and religious orientation in a timely manner. Initiates discharge planning for each patient upon admission as appropriate. Will be responsible for identifying the need for furthe r assessment based on the patient's clinical presentation/diagnosis and tolerance of diagnostic testing/scheduled procedure.

Qualifications

Two (2) years' experience in an operating room, on a telemetry unit, or critical care unit in an acute care facility required

Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing Program

Current California RN license (maintain current), BSN preferred
BLS (maintain current AHA)
ACLS (maintain current AHA
