Job summary

Atrium Health Navicent - The Medical Center is seeking a dedicated RN to join the Inpatient Oncology Unit. You will provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care, ensuring safety and high-quality outcomes across the continuum of care in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

The role requires completion of an accredited nursing program and an active RN license in the state of practice, with BLS for Healthcare Providers. Variety in patient populations and teamwork are emphasized.

Department: 34414 Navicent Health Medical Center - Nursing: Medical/Surgical IU 9 Main Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hours Per Week: 36 Schedule Details/Additional Information: Join our dedicated and collaborative Inpatient Oncology Unit, a 36-bed progressive care environment specializing in the treatment of patients with underlying malignancies. Our team delivers high-quality, compassionate care to individuals undergoing complex surgical procedures and medical oncology treatments in a fast-paced, supportive setting.

Patient Populations
  • Primary Patient Population (60%) – Surgical Oncology: Pre- and post-operative care for solid tumor patients, including GYN, GI, and ENT cancers Progressive/step-down monitoring, pain and wound management, drain care, and post-surgical recovery
  • Secondary Patient Population (30%) – Medical Oncology: Care for patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, or radiation Management of cancer-related symptoms and supportive care for advanced or metastatic diseases
  • Tertiary Patient Population (10%) – General Medical/Surgical: Patients requiring intermediate care in an acute setting non-related to underlying malignancies
We’re Looking For

Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

What You’ll Do

As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Pay Range

$38.20 - $57.30
