Roxbury Treatment Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, invites you to join our behavioral health team in Shippensburg, PA. We seek a Registered Nurse to provide compassionate care on adolescent, adult mental health units or substance use disorder units.

This full-time RN role offers a Day Shift (06:30am-03:00pm) with benefits, and the opportunity to earn a sign-on bonus up to $20,000 for a 2-year commitment. Part-time options are available with some benefit exclusions.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice nursing in Pennsylvania (or eligible to receive or renew).
• Current CPR or BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care on a designated unit in alignment with Roxbury Treatment Center philosophy and objectives.
• Prescribes, coordinates and delegates nursing care.
• Completes nursing assessments and documents patient progress each shift.
• Facilitates medication administration with safe practices and patient education.
• Responds to crises and emergencies to ensure patient safety.
• Attends Treatment Team to aid in development of care plans.
• Oversees and directs nursing staff in patient care activities on shift.
• May assume Charge Nurse responsibilities as required.

There is opportunity for overtime and to cover various shifts if interested.

This position also qualifies for up to a $20,000.00 sign-on bonus for a 2 year commitment!

Registered Nurses will work on our Adolescent, Adult Mental Health Units OR Substance Use Disorder Unit

• The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care on a designated unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Roxbury Treatment Center.
• The Registered Nurse prescribes, coordinates and delegates nursing care
• The Registered Nurse completes nursing assessments and documents care and progress of the patient each shift
• The Registered Nurse facilitates medication administration activities in accordance with safe medication practices, including patient education
• The Registered Nurse responds to all crisis/emergency events to direct staff and ensure patient safety
• Attends Treatment Team to aid in the development of patient care plans
• Oversees and directs the mental health technicians in patient care activities
• The Registered Nurse is accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and is responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice on the unit under the direction of the Nurse Manager or DON.
• The Registered Nurse may also assume Charge Nurse Responsibilities as required.
