Job summary

Majestic Care of North Vernon is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our care team and deliver skilled nursing services on an assigned unit, under nursing management, supervising CNAs to ensure high-quality care.

Responsibilities include leading care plan development, assessing and documenting residents' condition, promptly implementing orders, administering medications, IVs, and treatments, and supporting in-services and interdepartmental coordination. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• RN license active, valid, and in good standing.
• CPR certification preferred but not required.

• Initiate and lead team conferences in development of individualized nursing care plans.
• Assess and document the residents’ condition and nursing needs.
• Accurately and promptly implement physicians’ orders.
• Administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments for assigned residents and document that treatment as required by Majestic Care and local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
• Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
• Assist physicians with special tests and procedures within the scope of state specified Nursing Practice Act.
• Report and record pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents.
• Coordinate nursing care of residents when scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments.
• Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in residents.

Position Overview:
