MedStar Health’s 2E unit cares for Neuro-Surgical and ENT patients, offering specialty training for managing Medical-Surgical and Intermediate Care populations. The unit is part of a Comprehensive Stroke Center in Washington, DC, with a history of stroke designation and a focus on complex neurological cases.

Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred.
• Active DC RN License and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross).

Unit Highlights

Nurses on 2E provide care to our Neuro-Surgical and ENT patients, specializing in Laryngectomies. 2E offers nurses specialty training for managing both the Medical-Surgical and Intermediate Care patient populations. We are an integral part of the Comprehensive Stroke Center here at MWHC. We were the first hospital in D.C. to achieve designation as a Comprehensive Stroke center! Our unit proudly manages complex neurological patients and the Tenecteplase (TNK) patient population
