Job summary

MedStar Health in Washington, DC seeks a Clinical Nurse for Unit 2D to deliver skilled, compassionate care to acutely ill adults, including ventilated patients. You will assess conditions, plan care, and coordinate with the nursing team to implement interventions.

Eligible candidates hold an ADN/BSN/MSN/CNL with DC RN licensure and BLS certification; prior clinical experience is preferred. Generous benefits and relocation support are available.

Qualifications

Unit Highlights

Nurses on Unit 2D provide care to acutely ill adult patients with a wide range of medical diagnoses. Unit 2D is a 27-bed unit that has expanded its scope of care to include ventilated patients at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. Our team is known for being clinically sharp, consistent, organized, and dependable. The unit is also recognized for its strong, cohesive team dynamics and the many opportunities it offers for nursing growth and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs—from routine to highly complex. You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans. Interventions may be delivered directly or coordinated through collaboration with other members of the nursing team.
