Avalon Care Center Yakima is now hiring Registered Nurses to join our outstanding team. We offer competitive pay of $51.00 - $57.94 per hour and opportunities for full-time, part-time, and PRN work across Day, Evening, and Night shifts with shift differentials of $1.00 for evenings and $3.00 for nights.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Recent clinical experience with geriatrics.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulatory requirements governing facilities.
• Pursuit of continuing education in clinical subjects and management.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents per care plans and policies.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and timely.
• Monitor residents, report changes to physicians and team.
• Conduct assessments and document patient progress and vitals.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to implement care plans.
• Supervise and support LPNs, CNAs, and other staff.
• Respond to emergencies with appropriate interventions.
• Educate residents and families on health conditions and care plans.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation.
• Ensure infection control and safety compliance.
• Promote residents’ dignity, independence and well-being.

$1.00 shift differential for eves

$3.00 shift differential for Nights

Full-time are eligible for:

Placement within the wage range for this position is determined by years of experience, qualifications, and demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with care plans, facility policies, and regulatory guidelines.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and timely.
• Monitor residents’ conditions and report significant changes to physicians and other healthcare team members.
• Conduct assessments and document patient progress, symptoms, and vital signs.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Supervise and support LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing staff to ensure high-quality resident care.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.
• Educate residents and families on health conditions, care plans, and post-discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in electronic medical records (EMR).
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and health and safety regulations.
• Promote dignity, independence, and overall well-being of residents.

Qualifications

• A current, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in State of practice.
• Demonstrate RNclinical assessment skills at the level necessary to meet the job requirements.
• Recent clinical experience, education, or specialty skills specific to geriatrics.
• Demonstrate understanding that state and Federal rules and regulations govern the practices within the facility.
• Ongoing pursuit of Continuing Education Credits in clinical subjects, management, personal growth and development
• Must pass criminal background investigation, reference inquiry, and vaccine mandate attestation requirements of either having been vaccinated or present documentation needed for a medical or religious exemption.
