Job summary

Care Initiatives is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for full-time shifts 6am to 6pm, every third weekend, at our West Des Moines facilities. You will provide direct nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment, document care, and participate in daily unit operations to ensure safety and quality.

Ideal candidates hold an Iowa RN license, current CPR, and a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing in Iowa (or ability to activate).
• Current CPR certification.
• Knowledge of long-term care regulations and laws.
• Empathy, respect, patience and discretion in care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment.
• Support daily clinical operations on the unit to ensure quality care and safety.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
• Monitor resident conditions and respond to changes in status.
• Collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, providers and other team members to promote high-quality care.
• Communicate care needs effectively with residents and families.
• Document care to meet clinical and regulatory standards.
• Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in good standing. License must be valid within the state of Iowa, or ability to activate.
