Job summary

Fairmont Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Fairmont, WV is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for full-time day shift to provide compassionate, resident-centered care. You will assess residents, administer medications, develop and update care plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to promote positive outcomes.

The role requires an active WV RN license, strong clinical and communication skills, and the ability to document accurately.

Responsibilities

As an RN, you'll play an important role in supporting our residents' health, comfort, and quality of life while helping ensure they receive the attentive, individualized care they deserve.

What You'll Do

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents

• Assess residents' health conditions and monitor changes in their status

• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility policies

• Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans

• Monitor residents' progress and communicate changes to providers and the interdisciplinary team

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

• Supervise and support nursing staff as appropriate

• Collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to promote positive resident outcomes

• Educate residents and families regarding care needs and treatment plans

• Follow infection prevention practices, safety procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements

What We're Looking For

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in West Virginia or eligibility to practice in West Virginia

• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities

• A compassionate, resident-focused approach to care

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation

• Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred
