Confidential Clinical Opportunity is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join an interdisciplinary team in Colorado, focusing on adults with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. This role emphasizes trauma-informed, compassionate care in a structured residential setting.
The RN will handle admissions, assessments, medication management, withdrawal monitoring, and care coordination, working with a multidisciplinary team to support recovery and wellbeing.
Setting:Behavioral Health
A specialized behavioral healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join an interdisciplinary team treating adults with substance use disorders, trauma, and co-occurring mental health conditions.
This is not an acute inpatient psychiatric nursing environment. The program provides structured residential and PHP care with an emphasis on individualized treatment, interdisciplinary collaboration, and manageable patient volume. Nurses work closely with psychiatric, medical, therapeutic, and case management professionals to provide integrated care throughout the treatment process.
The RN will provide medical and psychiatric nursing support across the program, including patient admissions, clinical assessments, medication management, withdrawal monitoring, care coordination, and ongoing evaluation of patient needs.
This position requires a nurse who is comfortable working independently, recognizes changes in patient condition, and knows when escalation or additional medical intervention is necessary.
This opportunity offers a schedule that is notably different from many hospital-based behavioral health nursing positions:
Candidates seeking to transition away from overnight hospital schedules, frequent weekend requirements, or ongoing call responsibilities may find this environment particularly attractive.
The ideal RN combines strong clinical judgment with a genuine interest in behavioral healthcare and addiction recovery.
This individual should be comfortable caring for medically and psychiatrically complex patients while working collaboratively with physicians, therapists, and other treatment professionals.
They should also value an environment where nursing has the time and resources to develop meaningful relationships with patients rather than operating within a high-volume acute-care model.
Candidates currently licensed outside Colorado are encouraged to apply. Nurses holding an eligible multi-state RN license through the Nurse Licensure Compact may have a streamlined path to practicing in Colorado.
Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates, including additional support for select out-of-state hires.
The identity of the organization and additional program details will be shared with qualified candidates as they progress through the recruitment process.
