- Oklahoma Heart Institute offers 24/7 catheterization labs, cardiac rehabilitation and a heart failure center. In addition, OHI is involved in over 200 cutting-edge research studies across the vast amount of specialties within the system.
Responsibilities- This role involves coordinating the daily operations and patient care flow for hospitalized cardiology patients.
- Responsibilities' include managing and updating patient lists in Epic, knowing physician schedules and coverage needs, and communication with the rounding physicians.
- The role supports discharge planning, procedure scheduling, and documentation of care.
- It also includes managing inpatient assessments, triaging consults, and aghering external medical records.
QualificationsJob Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- 3-5 years of experience in a healthcare setting (especially in cardiology, inpatient coordination, or clinical scheduling.)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (*ACLS) (required)
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Experience coordination diagnostic tests/procedures like echocardiograms, TEEs, and cardiac catheterizations.
- Previous experience working in a cardiology department
- Familiarity with hospital billing workflows
- Knowledge of medical terminology, especially related to cardiovascular care
- Experience in patient scheduling and coordinating inpatient procedures
