Job summary

ProgressiveHealth is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for our Smyrna, TN occupational health clinic at a major manufacturing facility. You will treat employees, administer injections, and perform diagnostics (EKG, spirometry, audiometry) while maintaining EMR records and coordinating referrals.

Requirements include a BSN, TN RN license, and CPR/BLS. Prior occupational health experience and strong confidentiality are preferred; on-site, day or night shifts with flexible coverage available.

Qualifications

• RN with valid state license in good standing.
• CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain before start.
• 1+ year in occupational health preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment for work and non-work-related injuries or illnesses.
• Administer injections or treatments per protocol.
• Operate ECG, spirometry, audiometry and other diagnostic equipment.
• Collect specimens and perform routine lab tests.
• Document thoroughly in electronic medical records.
• Coordinate referrals for insurance/workers' comp with providers.
• Support disability/leave management and return-to-work processes.

Registered Nurse (RN) – ProgressiveHealth Occ Health, LLC – Smyrna, TN

Are you a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse looking for an exciting opportunity in occupational health? Look no further! ProgressiveHealth is seeking a dedicated PRN Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team in Smyrna, TN at a major manufacturing facility.

What You’ll Do:

• Providing treatment as appropriate to employees for both work and non-work-related injuries or illnesses
• Give injections or treatments as ordered or per protocol within the clinic
• Operating electrocardiograph (EKG), spirometry, audiometry, and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests
• Performing routine laboratory tests and collecting specimens for routine laboratory tests
  • Includes finger sticks, urinalysis, and biological monitoring
• Thoroughly entering documents into electronic medical records to maintain clinic and patient records
• Facilitating prompt referrals for insurance/benefit/workers compensation policies and procedures to specialty medical providers as may be necessary
• ADA Accommodations and Workers’ compensation case management
• Disability/Leave management/Return to work support
• Other duties may be assigned

You Will Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent for a Registered Nurse
• The required state licensure, certification, and registration that is in good standing with the state or the ability to obtain the required state licensure
• CPR/AED/BLS (basic life support) certification or the ability to obtain it prior to start of employment; maintain and provide proof of current certification(s)
• Greater than one-year work experience, specifically in an occupational health setting
• Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records
• The ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout entire assigned shift
• A high degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication
• The ability to work both independently and in a team environment, without constant supervision
• Be able to maintain confidentiality
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with databases and with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Schedule:

• PRN Coverage Needed
• Day shift (6A-6P), and Night Shift (6P-6A)
