Job summary

Journey is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team in a full-time capacity in a Georgia location. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care within a long-term care setting, ensuring holistic care and adherence to policies.

The role requires an unrestricted RN license, a nursing degree, and CPR certification. Excellent communication and compassionate care are essential to support residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Directs the daily activities of the licensed practical/vocational nurse and CNAs in accordance with regulations and facility policies.
• Follows the nursing model to promote holistic care for residents.
• Ensures policies and procedures are followed by nursing personnel.
• Participates in admission, discharge and transfers of residents as required.
• Assesses changes in residents’ status and notifies physician and family, documenting accordingly.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Directs the daily activities of the licensed practical/vocational nurse and certified nursing assistants in accordance with current federal, state and local regulations and guidelines and established facility policies and procedures.
• Follows the nursing model to promote holistic care for the residents.
• Ensures that policies and procedures are complied with by nursing personnel assigned.
• Participates in the admission, discharge and transfers of residents as required.
• Assesses for changes in residents’ status, notifying the physician and resident’s family or representative and documenting accordingly.
• Transcribes physician orders to medical record and carries out orders as written.

Required Qualifications

• Prior experience in long-term care preferred but not required.
• A Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.
