Job summary

The Wilshire Skilled Nursing and Therapy in Oklahoma City is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Charge Nurse for Double Weekends Baylor shifts (6a-2p and 2-10p) on Saturdays and Sundays to lead care teams and ensure high-quality resident care.

The RN must hold an Oklahoma RN license, CPR/First Aid, and ideally 1+ year in skilled nursing; we offer competitive pay and full benefits including medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with company match, ESOP, education funds, and career advancement

Qualifications

• Oklahoma RN license in good standing.
• Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
• 1+ year of experience in skilled nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per nursing protocols.
• Monitor residents and report changes to care team and physicians.
• Record vital signs and condition changes accurately.
• Communicate with residents' families and physicians about health updates.
• Adjust care plans and ADLs in response to changes in condition.

Responsibilities and Purpose

• Obtain and administer prescribed medications and treatment following approved nursing techniques. Ensure residents' chart is current.
• Observe residents and record significant conditions and reactions. Notify appropriate parties of residents' changes in condition and response to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.
• Take vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess residents' condition.
• Keep residents' families and physicians informed of any changes in resident behavior, medications, or health conditions.
• Modify residents' care plans, care directives, Activities of Daily Living (ADL), and Aide flow sheets in conjunction with residents' changes in condition.

Required Experience and Education

• Current and unencumbered Oklahoma Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• Up-to-date First Aid and CPR certification.
• One (1) or more years of experience in a skilled nursing or Long-term Care environment is preferred.
