Job summary

Essential Angel Care LLC in Suffolk, VA, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide clinical oversight, assessments, and care planning for in-home clients. The RN will educate caregivers, develop care plans, and ensure regulatory compliance across Virginia Home Care standards.

The role emphasizes compassionate patient care, teamwork with caregivers, and ongoing quality assurance to support agency growth and excellent client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Virginia RN license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Minimum of two years nursing experience.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to maintain HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive client nursing assessments and reassessments.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized plans of care.
• Provide clinical oversight for caregivers and direct care staff.
• Train caregivers on client-specific care needs and best practices.
• Monitor client progress and communicate changes to physicians, families, and leadership.
• Ensure compliance with Virginia regulations, HIPAA, and policies.
• Review documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities.
• Assist with state inspections, surveys, and licensing compliance.
• Collaborate with the Administrator to support clinical operations.

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide clinical oversight and nursing expertise to ensure clients receive safe, high-quality care in accordance with Virginia regulations and agency policies. The RN will conduct assessments, develop and review care plans, educate caregivers, and serve as a clinical resource while supporting the agency's continued growth and regulatory compliance.

Essential Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Preferred

• Home Health experience.
• Hospice experience.
• Home Care or Community Health experience.
• Supervisory or leadership experience.
• Knowledge of Virginia Home Care regulations.
