Nurses start at $30 per hour plus shift differential.
Shift Differential Pay - 15% for evenings, 25% for nights and an extra 10% for weekends. Registered Nurses higher and higher for experienced RNs.

Diploma from an accredited school of nursing. Current NYS licensure, BLS card , PALS and ACLS are all required. Completion of Pharmacology, IV Therapy, Telemetry, Advanced Critical Care Courses, and ACLS training required within first year of employment. Minimum of one year of Medical|Surgical experience. Unit specific orientation.
Job Summarization: Registered Nurse accurately set priorities of treatment utilizing guidelines of Emergency triage. Regularly perform procedures according to ED standards of nursing practice and patient care.
Demonstrates knowledge of the nursing process by complete and accurate patient assessments, initiation and implementation of Nursing Care Plan, with evaluation and alteration of nursing care as needed. Regularly demonstrate knowledge in use of all emergency equipment and prepare all equipment for use. Properly identify patients at risk for discharge and initiates discharge planning. Regularly demonstrate knowledge of ACLS and PALS protocols and utilizes in-service programs to stay current between biannual certification programs. Regularly demonstrates familiarity of pre-hospital care protocols and EMS system. Assists in clinical training experience for EMTs. Use appropriate documentation to describe patient status, any treatment given and the response to the treatment.
