Premier Nursing & Rehab Center of Far Rockaway is seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses to join our clinical team on a full-time basis. Shifts are available on the 7-3 and 11-7 schedules, all on-site within a resident-centered environment.

The RN will oversee and deliver quality nursing care, supervise staff, collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, and advocate for the highest standard of resident care while ensuring compliance with NYS regulations.

Qualificações

• Current New York State RN license.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current CPR/BLS Certification.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Preferred: Long-term care or skilled nursing experience.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
• Knowledge of CMS regulations and quality measures.

Responsabilidades

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate resident care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Monitor resident conditions and communicate changes to physicians and family.
• Complete nursing documentation in the EMR.
• Supervise LPNs and CNAs.
• Ensure infection prevention and control standards are met.
• Respond to emergencies and changes in resident condition.
• Participate in admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Collaborate with rehab, dietary, social services, and other departments for comprehensive care.
• Educate residents, families, and staff about care plans and conditions.
• Maintain compliance with NYS DOH regulations and facility policies.
• Participate in quality improvement and staff education programs.

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for overseeing and delivering quality nursing care to residents while ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations. The RN will supervise nursing staff, collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, and advocate for the highest standard of resident care.

Essential Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate resident care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders.
• Monitor resident conditions and promptly communicate changes to physicians and family members.
• Complete accurate and timely nursing documentation within the electronic medical record.
• Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control standards.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and changes in resident condition.
• Participate in admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Collaborate with rehabilitation, dietary, social services, and other departments to ensure comprehensive resident care.
• Educate residents, families, and staff regarding care plans and health conditions.
• Maintain compliance with New York State Department of Health regulations and facility policies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff education programs.
