Responsibilities

• Assist in development and implementation of individualized nursing care plans to meet residents' needs.
• Provide supervision and orientation to nursing staff; participate in daily unit operations.
• Perform direct resident assessments and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Supervise nursing personnel to ensure care complies with state and federal regulations.
• Coordinate with physicians during rounds and communicate orders accurately.
• Train and supervise nursing staff; apply effective leadership and supervision principles.
• Handle emergencies calmly and efficiently; manage daily duties and treatments.

RN Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, utilize a general understanding of nursing principles and basic physical assessment skills in the development and implementation of individualized nursing care plans to ensure residents' needs are met.
• Assist in the orientation and supervision of nursing personnel, attend to daily unit operations per shift, and assume leadership roles as needed.
• Take an active role in direct resident assessment and care.
• Supervise and coordinate nursing personnel in providing direct resident care in adherence to State and Federal regulations.
• Formulate individualized nursing care plans using the nursing process.
• Assess each resident daily and adjust care plans as needed.
• Assist the physician during rounds and ensure pertinent information is communicated and orders are taken correctly.
• Participate in the training and supervision of nursing personnel.
• Utilize effective leadership and supervision principles.
• Manage conflict through problem-solving and communication skills.
• Act calmly and efficiently in handling emergency situations.
• Prepare the daily assignment of duties, treatments, and miscellaneous tasks.
