Job summary

MediLodge Midland is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to plan, coordinate, and provide total nursing care for residents, while supervising clinical staff. The role offers strong market wages and opportunities for growth within a supportive team.

Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, coordinating care, and supervising LPNs, LVNs, and CNAs, with a focus on resident-centered care and compliance with state nursing practice acts. Current RN license and CPR required.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of accredited RN School of Nursing.
  • Valid RN license in the state employed and CPR certification.
  • One year of nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Initiates and leads team conferences in the development of individualized nursing care plans.
  • Assesses and documents the resident's condition and nursing needs.
  • Implements physicians' orders accurately and promptly.
  • Assigns nursing care to team members based on need and capabilities.
  • Supervises and evaluates LPNs, LVNs, and CNAs.
  • Administers medications, starts IVs and performs treatments for residents.
  • Participates in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
  • Assists physicians with tests and procedures within Nursing Practice Act.
  • Ensures supplies are used economically and equipment maintained safely.
  • Reports and records observations and reactions regarding residents.
  • Coordinates nursing care when therapy or procedures are scheduled.
  • Interviews applicants and participates in hiring decisions and staff counseling as allowed.
  • Supervises nursing unit scheduling and direction of staff.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.

Compensation
  • Starting Wages at $43.40/hr. – $57.94 per hour.
  • Wage Calculation is based on experience, shift, a $3.40/hr Michigan Direct Care Incentive, and a $8.00/hr weekend warrior program.

  • Assigns nursing care to team members in accordance with the resident's needs and the person's capabilities and qualifications.
  • Supervises, directs and evaluates LPNs, LVNs, and CNAs.
  • Administers medications, starts IVs and performs treatments for assigned residents, and documents that treatment as required company, and local, state and federal rules and regulations.
  • Participates in orientation and in‑service training for personnel.
  • Assists physicians with special tests and procedures within the scope of state specified Nursing Practice Act.
  • Ensures that supplies are utilized economically and that equipment is clean and maintained in a safe manner.
  • Reports and records pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents.
  • Coordinates nursing care of residents when scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments.
  • Interviews applicants and recommends hires. Participates in counseling, disciplinary action, and termination of staff, to extent permitted by state practice act.
  • Supervises nursing unit, which includes scheduling and directing the nursing staff to extent permitted by state practice act.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations.
