Compensation

• Starting wages $45.40-$57.90 per hour
• Wage calculation based on experience, shift, a $3.40/hr Michigan Direct Care Incentive, and a $4/hr weekend warrior program.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.

Licenses/Certification

• Valid RN license in the state of employment.
• Valid CPR certification.

Experience

• One year of nursing experience preferred.

Job Functions

• Initiates and leads team conferences to develop individualized nursing care plans.
• Assesses and documents resident condition and nursing needs.
• Accurately implements physicians' orders.
• Assigns nursing care to team members based on resident needs and staff qualifications.
• Supervises, directs, and evaluates LPNs, LVNs, and CNAs.
• Administers medications, starts IVs, and performs treatments for assigned residents, documenting treatment as required by company and regulatory rules.
• Participates in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
• Assists physicians with special tests and procedures within the scope of state-specified Nursing Practice Act.
• Ensures supplies are utilized economically and equipment is clean and maintained safely.
• Reports observations and reactions regarding residents.
• Coordinates nursing care of residents when scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments.
• Interviews applicants and recommends hires; participates in counseling, disciplinary action, and termination of staff per state practice act.
• Supervises nursing unit, scheduling and directing staff per state practice act.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
