Job summary

Job description

Responsibilities

As an RN, you will be providing on‑site nursing and attendant care to our residents. You’ll ensure their health and well‑being while working in alignment with the mission and core values of Newport Healthcare. You’ll also enjoy a shift differential for your late‑night dedication.

SHIFT: 7PM - 7AM

  • Administering medications and monitoring vital signs, ensuring accurate documentation in medical records.
  • Evaluating medical complaints and concerns from residents, effectively communicating with our Nurse Practitioners and Physicians.
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans, providing direct care and nursing services as prescribed.
  • Monitoring chronic health conditions, respiratory distress, and seizures, ensuring timely interventions.
  • Maintaining comprehensive medical records and logs, adhering to all mandated reporting and infection control protocols.
  • Collaborating with Care Coordinators regarding medication management and refills.
  • Participating in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings, contributing your expertise to enhance patient care.
Qualifications
  • Possess a current and unrestricted Registered Nurse License in the state applying for work.
  • Experience in residential nursing a plus.

    • Must pass the applicable state/agency background check required for the work location jurisdiction, prior to employment.
    • Pre‑employment drug screening.
    • Must possess a current and valid CPR certification or obtain within the first 30 days of employment.
