Job summary

PediaStaff is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Tacoma, WA area to provide direct patient care in school-based and clinic settings.

The RN will administer medications, monitor health status, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams. Requirements include an active WA RN license, CPR/BLS, and trauma/ventilation experience. Local candidates who can pass background checks and immunizations are preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Washington RN license in good standing with the Washington State Board of Nursing (WABON).
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Trach and vent experience is needed.
• Must be local and ready to get started.
• Ability to meet Washington State background check and immunization requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide Direct Nursing Care — Support patients with daily care needs, treatments, and routine nursing tasks.
• Medication Administration — Administer medications and treatments in accordance with WABON rules and facility policies.
• Patient Monitoring — Observe and document changes in patient condition; report promptly to supervising RN or provider.
• Wound Care — Perform wound care and dressing changes as delegated.
• Documentation — Maintain accurate, timely charting in compliance with Washington State standards.
• Care Coordination — Collaborate with RNs, CNAs, physicians, therapists, and families to support patient care plans.
• Follow infection control, safety protocols, and WABON ethical and professional standards.
